When my parents and siblings set off on their slow long term travelling, it was only weeks after I had moved away with my own husband and baby daughter, so I was very excited that they were setting off to live and explore their dreams.
My only fear in regards to their travels, was that it would take them so far away and I would be unable to see them at all during my own process of becoming an American Resident. They alleviated my fears by only spending the winter in Mexico before coming back north into the states where I was free to visit them. Now that I have my “green card” I look forward to seeing where we might meet up again!
My favorite things since the family started traveling, are seeing the children’s photography skills grow, and hearing of all their adventures. They are learning so much more of the world, of the people, animals, places and societies. Already they have a greater education and love of learning than most adults I know. I am proud to call the older ones “young men and women”, for in this past year of adventuring, they have sprouted up and matured beyond belief!
Something I have learned during their travels…… Live your dreams no matter the cost, though all the world doubt you.
