Our Youngest Turns Seven

It was looking like a beautiful day to meet friends at the beach and celebrate Laars’ 7th birthday.  Though the sky filled with clouds and us Mom’s wrapped ourselves in towels (or in my case, I put on my wool jacket and fleece headband to protect my ears from the cool breeze) the kids frolicked in the ocean and did what kids do at beaches…built sandcastles and buried people.

Here’s our Beach Day to Celebrate Laars-ipan.

Black Forest Cake and Key Lime Pie. Birthday boy picked BOTH, of course.

You're supposed to dig into just your own piece. But, some people are good at sneaking 'just a bit more'.

Johnson style…I forgot the plates.  So, you’re supposed to dig into just your own piece. But, some people are good at sneaking ‘just a bit more’.

This was just 2 families-worth of kids. O's & J's (plus Astrid, but missing 3 Johnson's and one O child). Instant party when 2 large families get together.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LAARS-IPAN!

WE ALL LOVE YOU!
