Hamilton Petting Farm (Orientation)

Chris and Shelly bought land six years ago with exposure along the highway that passes by Coombs and near the intersection that goes either to Qualicum or out to Tofino.  Purposely to open a petting farm.  Thus last year they opened up…

They depend on volunteers to help them out, caring for the animals and making things flow when crowds of people arrive.

The first weekend we were at Shelley Y’s we took our kids down there to get a bit of orientation so that they could help out on the farm particularly on weekdays when the bulk of their volunteers are at school.  They take kids 10yo+.

These pics are from Orientation…and a hay ride Chris offered the gang.
