When we came to the city we stopped in at another traveling family’s apartment (RambleCrunch.com) which is basically right downtown in the historical section. We hung out with them for a few hours, drinking cafes in the park, climbing bronze statues by Jose Marin, eating specialty chocolates after a street side vendor lunch. We went back to their place for popcorn and Doctor Who, and to take the dogs for a really nice long walk.
It was a low-key very enjoyable day with like-minded friends….hard to come across while traveling…at least it has been so far for us. Most families are stuck in the North American rat race. It’s a real treat to connect with these friends in both Chapala where we first met them, and now when we travel to Morelia (about 4 hour drive away).
