Frosty Mornings

We are at about 6,200 feet above sea level here at Cortez, CO.  Sea level being where Everette and I (and the kiddos) are most familiar being.  Much of our 27+ years of marriage has been lived around the ocean, within a few hundred feet of it at least.

So with this elevation we are suddenly getting cold nights and freezing mornings.  Many mornings are crystally.  I don’t like the cold but I find the crystals beautiful.  See….

Mitchell's boat project is safely wrapped every evening with the tarp. This is what it looks like come many mornings.

    • Are you heading down there now, Michele?
We plan to go to mainland, but one never knows until it’s a done deal!!

Enjoy your drive and your winter, if we don’t run into you. Keep in touch.

      • Hi Karen,
We will be heading to the Baja next Mon Oct 14 from Winnipeg, where we had a destination Wedding…for my niece & a family reunion.

The mainland sounds like a great idea. I’ve never been there but have heard it’s amazing.
        Yes let’s keep in touch.
        Have fun,
        Michele

      • Having Thanksgiving early? Yeah, you’ll want to get out of Winter-peg pretty quickly, as we are wanting to leave here soon, too. Our elevation is 6,200ft and snow on the hills and closing in.

I hope to be gone by Monday but not sure Everette will be ready.

Safe travels. You’ll hopefully enjoy new sights driving from MB instead of BC. Enjoy.

I'm opinionated, friendly & chatty... I hope you are, too
