A big break was taken while Everette and Mitchell were in BC working for a whole month. Kind of a standstill on the house and the boat building. But they are back at it, when the weather cooperates.
Beams are up. Painted ceiling got laid down. I like the colours Ann picked, and I always love the stability implied by the look of beams.
Beams stained in a cherry colour. Ann and our teens stained them via scaffolding.
Ann’s near full-time job this summer was painting. Always painting something, it seemed.
Everette & Mitchell nailing the ceiling down. There are now 2 guys hired to help out, Steve & Dennis, but I didn’t get a photo of them. The push is on to get the house closed up before winter.
Mitchell was anxious to get back to his boat project. He’s diligently been working on it for months except of course while he was away. His excitement hasn’t waned at all.
Even when there’s ice in the mornings Mitchell dives into working on his boat.
Mitchell’s joked about christening her “Girlfriend” so if somebody asks if he has a girlfriend he can always say “Yes!”
