At 5,200 feet, Jerome has quite the history, and what appeared as a thriving tourist industry the Saturday afternoon our family drove up there on a windy Arizona road. It was founded in 1876, incorporated in 1899, and has a history as a copper mining camp that grew from a settlement of tents to a roaring town.

Going inside these art stores with a 5 year old with a short fuse and the wiggles was a bit daunting when prices of art pieces go into the thousands of dollars, but he is fascinated by the shine, the colours, the textures (that’s the clincher, wanting to touch everything).
