Shoot’em’up in the Wild Wild West

This is the land of the Historic Route 66, part of which we took to backtrack into Oatman to get the old-town flare and witness a gunfight.  It was a fun afternoon checking out the local art, feeding the famous burros, rummaging through antique stores introducing the kids to old irons heated on the stove, etc.  Lots of people here enjoying their Memorial Day weekend.

We spent the night in the hills outside Kingman where the night was cool for sleeping and the bugs are minimal….nice enough we decided to spend 2 nights here, to have a lazy day where we didn’t have to pack up.  The kids painted their wooden guns, worked on tin can hats, read new books we had picked up from Rich at The Last Chapter used bookstore  in Kingman (Rich is a treasure trove of help).

  1. We went through Oatman on our way to Lake Havasu, at Lynn’s suggestion, and we loved it. would really like to have spent more time there.

I'm opinionated, friendly & chatty... I hope you are, too
