On our way out of Mexico we hit a few vendors. Getting our last food fix before entering the States.
This stop was the best burritos we’ve had anywhere in Mexico I think. We liked them with chunks of potatoes in them. These also had beans and mechaca, with fresh tortillas fried up before our eyes.
One of our first stops when we entered Mexico was at a roadside vendor where we got coconuts from. We ended up camping in Luis and Juanita’s yard for the night, and we just had to come back and see how they were making out. Luis was in Ensanada so we didn’t see him, nor the kids at school, but we saw lovely Juanita who remembered we loved the coconuts, and served up a feast for our tummies.
So happy to see such improvement to their tienda (store). Luis, when we talked with him, had been anxious for ideas, for expansion. He was forward thinking, planning for a better future. Sorry we missed him, but things are really looking up. And Juanita is one of those pleasant people you love to do business with. Her smile and laughter are contagious.
Pleasant final memories of these 6 months we’ve spent in Mexico on the Baja.
