Mid-Island

Danaka and Maret are volunteering at a Senior’s Camp this week, serving in the dining hall.  Having to drive to Duncan to meet up with Gramma J whose also going to the camp (& would transport the girls there for us) meant it was easier for us to catch a ferry at Duke Point rather than backtracking to Sidney.  So we did the Mid-Island crossing today with our youngest 4.  Was a beautiful day for the ferry ride, joined by porpoises along the way.

Anticipation mounts as the kids look forward to going to a morning camp with Gramma S at her church for 3 days, and I take them swimming at least once per day while we are here.  Our friend, Susan G is coming over for supper tomorrow night and the kids L.o.v.e. Susan so there’s lots of excitement for them, which is really good because otherwise its boring at Grandma’s condo.  It’s one of those places that’s good as a basecamp, but not for hanging out at.

I'm opinionated, friendly & chatty... I hope you are, too
